IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Milk/Meal Accounts
Think of this account as a bank account. You can deposit any amount of money. Withdrawals are made each day your child drinks milk and eats school lunch. Please always send $ to school in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on it.
Homework
We do have activities throughout the year that we expect the children to complete and return to school. Be watching for special notes and messages on the monthly calendar.
Class Schedule
A detailed daily class schedule will be sent home at the beginning of each school year.
Book Orders
Our classroom orders from the Scholastic Company. If interested in ordering books. Please send your check made out to Scholastic along with the order form in a sealed envelope. Order forms come home once a month.
Snacks
We have a snack break every day but Wednesday. I am asking parents to help supply these healthy snacks. Please send non-perishable healthy snacks anytime to share with the class. We do not follow a snack calendar. Thanks
ABC's
Can your child name all of the letters A-Z and a-z? We will be working hard in September learning the letter names. Beginning in October, we start letter-sound associations. By the end of Kindergarten, your child needs to know all letter names and sounds.
Notebooks
Each child has a “HOME” notebook which is to be kept in their book bag and brought to school every day. The notebook’s purpose is for you and I to have a place to communicate whenever needed. This is the place to write notes if there is a change in after school plans, dr. appointments, and other information concerning your child.
Visits
We like to have visitors at school. Please notify Mrs. Venghaus to set up a date and time. We encourage visits to last under an hour. Lunch time is a great time to visit! Please no visitors until October or the last 2 weeks of school.
Monthly Calendars
Be looking for our class calendar at the beginning of every month. This calendar marks special days for our classroom. Please keep it posted at home for the month.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Please plan attending. We have two scheduled conferences each year. Report cards are sent home four times a year.
